2020 event has sadly been cancelled.
Let Open Adventure set you on your journey across the beautiful Lake District!
Soak up your surroundings as you travel from Caldbeck, on the northern edge of the Lakes, to Cartmel, in the south. Your route will take in the summits of Blencathra, Helvellyn and Fairfield before descending to Ambleside and following the western shore of Windermere.
The 2021 event will take place on Saturday 9th October.
50 miles, 4000m ascent – a journey on foot from the very top of the Lake District at Caldbeck to the very bottom, at Cartmel, via the stunning Helvellyn Ridge and the western shoreline of Lake Windermere. It might not be the easiest traverse but it will be the most spectacular!
It will be a day never to be forgotten.
“Living in the Lakes this is a journey that inspires me to get out and run, I’m thrilled to be sharing some of the most spectacular landscapes and some of my favourite trails.”
